What lies hidden
within my father
that only his closest know?
two things lie hidden
his decency and his middle name...
i try to adopt one, so i adopted the other
this name is Allan
What lies hidden
within my mind?
a world in which we once played
a world of our own creation
to where I escaped with only my friends
but nobody goes here anymore, save for me
we named this place,
it was a river of dreams, and we were
simply floating wood, being carried away
we foolish children called this land Riverwood...
this land still exists
but it is hard to find...
and i can guide you, if you like

(yes, this is the story behind my pen name.  i know it's pretty in-depth, but it's all the truth!  Riverwood was a fantasy land that me and a few of my friends invented in our preteens, where we played.  Everyone "grew out" of this fantasy life, but I sometimes feel like I am still there, alone.  This is where I get my pen name.  Thanks for the idea, Tamma!)

Sounds like a place I'd like to be.

What an interesting story behind the name.
It sounds like a peaceful place of escape.

I never knew that you had such an interesting user name. I wish I did! Anyway, this poem is really good. Those childhood places are always special to us, whether we want to admit it or not, and I'm glad that it lives on in your mind and in this wonderful poem. Thanks for sharing.

I never knew you had such an interesting story  behind yur user name!! Also, nice pic! I aint got a scanner, so ya all's are never gonna see who I am. So sad too. Anyways, how old are you? You don't look very old, but from the way you 'talk' to all of us and the way you write, I never'd be able to tell. Okay, I'm gonna shut up now. BTW, I e mailed you like you said I could. And perhaps I'll write about my user name.

I wish people would stop telling me that I can do anything I want to.  I never thought that I couldn't.
