I wrote this poem when I was 8 years old and I just thought I would share it with you all today. I know it is not all that wonderful or anything, but i wanted to share it anyway since it caught my eye when I was looking at things I wrote when I was young and because it is a true story.

I wish to make a phone call and could it be today?

My mommy needs my daddy in more then one way.

She always cry’s and night and I don’t know why

She tells me all the time that she wants to die.

I think I need this phone call to so that I can say goodbye.

You see it was only last week that my daddy died.

So if you can reach heaven please do it for me.

We really need to talk to him, I hope you do see.

Please do not cry you can talk to him too.

Just give me the number and I’ll give him to you.

Really good poem. One of those that kinda just leaves a knot in your stomach.

Wow... you wrote this at the age of eight?
Very, very very nicely done!  I loved it loads!
Incredible... it's nice to go and pull up a poem from your past, isn't it?  Nicely done!
