“MAY I ASK”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
May I ask to love you
near the gentle oak
standing tall,
guarding the peaceful forest…
May I ask to love you
under the weeping willow
that bows,
and caresses the quiet pond…
May I ask to love you
next to the sugar maple
as it flows,
with its sweetness…
May I ask to love you always,
into forever,
and then perhaps…..,
for just one more day…
