False Evidence Appearing Real

Negative voices heard
Coming from somewhere
Inside that fear rejection.
Personal opinions scattering
Doubt and ill will play old tapes
That harm all known goodness.
Sounds that scare senses
And shut down reality.
Ideas that are tainted
In a mind that can't trust.
Accusations abound
With past memories
That blemished a soul.
Words that attack
And leave no room
For forgiveness.
False evidence
Appearing real,
But unfounded.

The mind is a
Terrible thing
To waste..

Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood.

Katherine,

This poem, at this hour, simply needs its hand held.

I think you're right Bob.. this one wasn't written recently, but yes, at this hour a hand to hold tends to chase the bad thoughts away. Thanks for stopping by.. Kate

Good write, glad you left that place. It's freeing somehow to walk in sun.

It doesn't seems like your wasting your mind. Nice write.

This poem really reached into me, Kate.
I'm still dealing with what it found?
Thanks, great write!

Mabe..I thank you for holding my hand and pulling me out of the pot-hole I was in and to say I am grateful to you would be a great understatement. I love you, my sister. Kate

Bernie, thank you, thoughts that scream to come out need a voice. Thanks for listening. Kate
