I saw the Devil
He smiled at me
And I wondered
Should I smile back

I saw the Devil
He waved to me
Should I smile

I saw the Devil
He was crying
And I wondered
I should have smiled

I saw the Devil
And he smiled at me
And I wondered
Should I smile back

I saw the Devil
And he waved to me
And I wondered
Should I wave back

I saw the Devil
And he was crying
And I cried too

I looked at the Devil
And his tears were freezing on his face
He reached out to me
I took his hand
And his tears ran down his cheeks
