Slaughter House Rules

Dark shadows blanket
my desert glow
A cloud in the form of a wolf
And I like a fool, offer myself up
as the sacrificial lamb...
To the masquerade smile
and arsenic laced voiced
My heart wasn't enough?
No... You came back for
my soul, through
the wrist bleeding

...gothic and lush with sinister overtones...quite a memorable read! I liked:

My heart wasn't enough?
No... You came back for
my soul, through
the wrist bleeding
