Sweet Charity

It happened unexpectedly;
As when a fountain
Suddenly reacts
To the possibility of being something more
Than a repository
For loose change.

As your presence here has occurred. I certainly am curious as to what prompted this piece. It sounds like it was a good thing, though.

Virginia,

Well, I'm not sure where this came from. As Corinne suggested, I recently saw a wonderful special on the geysers of Yellowstone Park. And my but I love the Park. But I'm also a fan of old movies. Do you remember Shirley McLaine in "Sweet Charity"? I suppose there is more than a little of that in this.

Bob

Ethome,

Ah, yes, falling in love can be like a fountain. And falling in friendship too. Thanks for commenting. Bob

You have done it once more, captured my imaginations in such few lines. Brief and artistic.

"I am not now that which I have been."
