I ponder love and it's
Mystery
The invisible force that I
ache for in the darkness
and fear in the light
~
Knowing how to give
but not how to recieve
or perhaps,
give completely to
~
Perhaps too many painful memories
I have no wish to repeat
~
This rose minds not
if you touch her tender petals
breathe in her scent
or even notice in her small way
that she's beautiful
~
Just please do not pick her
or uproot her to transplant
She knows not how to live
but here

I've heard that roses only grow best where they've bloomed. . . and grown. . .

According to this. . . that would appear to be true. . . wonderful writing. . .

Thank you Sven! Actually I think you may be right. I have terrible luck with roses. But for one rose bush that used to actually be a tree that seems to even survive living with me. (ha ha)

I love this!! The rose is indeed a special and delicate flower to be treaured always. Wonderful writing.

Nicely said and I am reminded of the devine Ms M and I share the dark and the light and the love of The Rose.

Words we've all spoken in our hearts at times - - I agree with others - this could be another great lyric

Thank you so much, everyone. I struggled with this one, and I'm sure it could use alot of work. But I so appriciate your comments.

I really like the way you write. I like the way you contrast here.

Makes me think of how delicate a rose is and how it needs to be nourished to grow...just the same as love...James
