she dances in the swaying trees
with pirouettes and ballyhoos and coos and coos........
fearlessly flittering
care-less-ly
from leafy perch to leafy perch
springtime joy
warmed
deep within her tiny throat
erupts!......spilling
melodic messages
throughout
a chromatic meadowverse
fearlessly flittering
care-less-ly
from leafy perch to leafy perch
she dances in the swaying trees
with pirouettes and ballyhoos and coos and coos........
and coos and coos........

Thank you Irish Rose and Just a Woman....glad you like it.

I went to bed last night thinking about this poem and when I got up wrote it as I listened to the birds outside. Some birds, I noticed, seem to sing the same song over and over again or vary it a little by removing a few notes from the beginning and placing them at the end. In part, I tried to portray this in the poem.

Here is another variation where the last section, mirrors the first section:

she dances in the swaying trees
with pirouettes and ballyhoos and coos and coos........
fearlessly flittering
care-less-ly
from leafy perch to leafy perch
springtime joy
warmed
deep within her tiny throat
erupts!......spilling
melodic messages
throughout
a chromatic meadowverse
from leafy perch to leafy perch
care-less-ly
fearlessly flittering
with pirouettes and ballyhoos and coos and coos........
she dances in the swaying trees
