Listening to every heart

You are but a slender line
of the full that you once were
and yet the pull of you
is there, for I am sure

as I have felt, as you have been
a wondrous beam of light
now sing sweet the song of dream
and lend me dream of flight

and take my soul 'pon moonbeam
to him who awaits my sight
and promise him on beam of whim
that I shall be his light

and all shall rest, tonight
as all share beam of light

Ah, Sunshine, I admire the way your poem allows its speaker to summon the moon to deliver her love to an awaiting other. How fanciful, yet elegant. Thank you for this.

These lines were awesome...
as I have felt, as you have been
a wondrous beam of light
now sing sweet the song of dream
and lend me dream of flight

Very mystical feel to this, yet sensual also.

Oh beautiful! I needed a read like this this morning! Thank you Sunshine.

Sunshine,

This is such a lovely poem, soft, tender, sensual in its imagery. I loved every well chosen and placed word. Thank you for this.
