~*~ The Wizard and The Angel ~*~

~*~ Once upon a time...

Or so it has been written, oh, so very long ago,
There lived an amazing Wizard,or so the story’s told.
He had the greatest powers they say;
‘Twas told, he could turn rocks into gold!

Now, this wizard tried many an elixir,
To possess multitudes of love and power,
He sent huge clouds of smoke up into the sky,
Mixing potions, and he practiced by the hour.

One day he walked into the closest village,
In what appeared to be a cloud of smoke, swirling blue,
His brew now mixed; his spell had begun,
But to complete it he needed a heart that was true.

He happened on a beautiful maiden so fair,
Sadly singing a departed lover’s lament.
The wizard knew immediately that,
It was for her, this spell was meant!

She was definitely the fairest of maidens;
For he’d seen none with such beauty before,
A special glow about her, a dazzling smile,
A heart and soul so pure, so goes the folklore!

Now, he was in a hurry; he only had so much time,
To conjure the spell and seal her pending fate.
He moved a little closer to the beautiful maiden;
And he cast a spell on her so he could manipulate.

This wizard with the cold and hardened heart,
Cast the spell, then his wand he did wave,
He captured this beautiful, pure-hearted maiden;
Now he would take her back to his wizard cave.

So...in a trance she took him by the hand,
And through the glens and woods they did scurry,
Back to his cave, below the rising blue smoke,
They entered, and now he must hurry.

Suddenly, the maiden turned to the wizard,
A bright light radiated from her, and she said…
“You've committed a sin by stealing love Wizard,
But I am forgiving, and will not see you dead!'

'You see I am the love angel, and I was sent,
To stop you from stealing a heart pure and true,
Love is something that you feel, it is a gift,
You earn love, and it is something that you do!'

'There is no room for hearts of stone in the world,
Unless each of us allows there to be so...
So, I banish you forever, go look for your heart!
She pointed towards the valley and she said, 'Go!'

As the story has it now every year on the same day,
The angel of love banished the cold-hearted wizard,
This valley of sunshine, that is usually snow free,
Actually gets covered in a snow raging blizzard!

Legend tells that if you look up in the sky,
Look real hard...you’ll see a great big blue cloud.
You can see it's the angel of love, and the wizard,
Together for eternity, displaying his heart,
He found it, and he is just so proud!

Ah, shoot! I was almost convinced the Wizard would get the fair maiden. But perhaps that's in another story yet to be told. I love the music, graphics and the story telling. How wonderful for Tori to have your love. Hidden of course in this tale was a wonderful bit of knowledge: one can not steal love. Important to know just starting out in life.

Once a year with a love Angel , wonder the spells the wizard weaves to woo her forgiveness?

Sunshine: I write a poem a day for Victoria (Tori) and on each birthday I have them bound into little books for her. I hope one day they may mean something.

theCraig: you are too funny , I wonder what spell he weaves too.
