Listening to every heart

The Lament

Gliding in on fog’s whispers, come to me, come to me,
enchanting song do sing, come to me, come to me,
mystery as to what it is you will bring, come to me,
following me to my vespers, come to me.

At the seventh hour I shall pray, come to me, come to me,
enchanting song do again sing, come to me, come to me,
forth will come everything you bring, come to me
changing night to dawn of day, come to me.

Ah dear keeper of my heart, come to me, come to me,
forever I’ve prayed we never part, come to me, come to me,
your entrancing song, your mysteries, come to me,
left me blind so I can see, come to me.

I only know the night from the cool it brings, come to me
hiding from the day’s rays, abandoned, come to me,
singing your song, knowing now the mystery, come to me, come to me
praying you stay for all eternity, come to me, come to me.

Now you’ve come, engulfing me, come to me, come to me,
with your fog’s breath, lift me high, come to me, come to me,
While I pray, come to me
Let me breathe my last breath on your face, and leave.

Sunshine,
Just beautiful,
And he will come
On the whispering drum
On a flying sugarplum. *K*
