Windows of Spring

Doors of contentment, windows of glee
Open when spring brings new colors to me
Flowers of beauty, fragrance of rose
Sun on my face so delightfully glows

Green leaves push through from their well nurtured bed
Petals of softness, tulips of red
Spreading their wings to the warmth of the sun
Burdens and heartaches coming undone

Splendors surrounding spirit and mind
Fill them with joy in a matter of time
The pinks and the lavenders, fruits of the earth
Touch every heart in its welcomed rebirth

Rich is the garden laden with blooms
Full is the heart that its beauty consumes
Fortunate he who rejoices in spring
For this is a heart which can openly sing

Write in a poem the beauty you see
Open the window of springtime to me
For images focused within wanting eye
Pour out from the heart like a sweet lullaby

Your vision of Spring is one of beauty and serenity, and inspires one to see all that you see. I think I shall now go try to see some of that beauty myself thanks to you! What a lovely poem, and the way your poetry flows actually makes me smile!

Oh that was so beautiful to read. It is so hard to have faith in spring when you are still knee deep in snow.Thank you for the wonderful read Suzanne

You tell me of the renewal of spring both in a naturally physicl sense, but too a renewal of soul open for the spring breeze of love. And I believe you.
