~Night Unending~

If fate should decide ... that my time is now due,
all I would ask for then ... is one last moonlit night with you.
One long night to be reborn ... this final wish I am sending,
if we could hold off the morn ... let the night be unending.

For all that I have ... it all I would give for this,
one last night to match your gaze ... one last chance to taste your kiss.
Might we keep the tides from rising ... might we delay the sun's arise,
could I live out these last moments in time ... seeing my reflection in your eyes.

Could we make this night infinite ... cause time to stand still,
if I should hold my breath ... would I cease the arrival of until.
For one night eternal ... let me ignite your every desire,
bodies and minds entwined ... release the heat we inspire.

In the depths of you I wish to linger ... long and slow,
stretch the night to the edge ... pale the moon in afterglow.
Let me be your taste of heaven ... then be your touch of sin,
may we hold the night over ... let our intensity deny the dawns begin.

And if morning comes too soon ... should this ecstasy cause time to slip ...
I'd willingly die in your arms ... with your name the last breath upon my lips.

Janet Marie

We wish ourselves beautiful,
we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.

Seems to me that this is what "Passions" is all about . . . and it doesn't get much better than this!
Thanks for sharing this fine moonlight wish.

JM me queen butterfly...this is awesome...I
told you I wanted poetry...but what you gave
was the most exquisite glimpse of your heart
and soul...you wove it into sensual, loving,
caring...all of it interwoven with a heart
of gold. I was going to cut and copy the
parts that took my breath away...but it left
the first line and it didn't return till the
last word...Beautiful baby...when you weave
like this....there isn't a question of the
color of your wings baby...GOLD
sweetie....GOLD~

This is solid and conjures up such stark imagery...loved it! For some reason my reading gave me two images...one of lovers...another of Vampires (in love)...mysterious and lucious.

Janet, you have grown so well in your poetry, this is so romantic and beautifully sad. Every line is my favourite, especially the last two lines - very powerful! My library must have this!~

the words are beautiful and the message is marvalous. And the open end just makes me wonder. Winkiewinkie Love.

Enthalling and capivating words that dance and seduce. Excellent. Complimented by both the opening and closing graphic. Yes, a definite keeper.

Well now aren't you quite the passionate devoted loyal down to the very end lover. The sensuality of this is wonderful Janet!
It's a heart puller!
"Could we make this night infinite ... cause time to stand still,
if I should hold my breath ... would I cease the arrival of until.
For one night eternal ... let me ignite your every desire,

Well now if that was me I'd have to give into ya and spoil ya and you could say these things easily..........

"Peel me a grape crush me some ice
skin me a peach save the fuzz for my pillow
poach me a prawn talk to me nice
you got to wine me and dine me

don't try to fool me bejewell me
either amuse me or lose me
I'm getting hungry peel me a grape.

pop me a cork, french me a fry
crack me a nut, bring me a bowl full of bon bons
chill me some wine, keep standing by
just entertain me, champagne me
show me you love me, kid glove me
best way to cheer me, cashmere me
I'm getting hungry, peel me a grape.

Here's how to be an agreeable chap
love me and leave me in luxury's lap
Hop when I holler, skip when I snap
when I say, "do it," jump to it

Send out for sctoch, call me a cab
cut me a rose, make my tea with the petals
just hang around, pick up the tab
never out think me, just mink me
polar bear rug me, don't bug me
new thunderbird me, you heard me
I'm getting hungry, peel me a grape."

he he I don't know who wrote that but I just love it....love to you too poet pal you're still VANtastic!!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

I thought this was poetic perfection when I read it this weekend and wasn't able to see the graphics... This morning, I learn how they enhance this wonderful creation of romance... and I'm even more impressed. *S* This was worth the struggle with your moody muse, JM... Beautiful!!!
