Celtic Rose
By: Noah Eaton
3/17/01

Dancing on the emerald hillsides
Under the rainbow smiling from a pot of gold
Singing in the Gaelic rain with the leprechauns
Celebrating my Irish blood, green to the soul

To my heart, I wear the Celtic rose
The spring weaver, with three lush leaves
Each leaf holding dear meaning, spirits brought together in unity
The three values that be, mingled together to Trinity

The first leaf represents the Father, life’s giver
Spirits of my ancestors together to guide me with the light
Shaping me as who I am, carrying on the old soul of love
As I walk outside, I can hear their knowledge whispering in the winds, and protecting me at night

Next is the leaf representing I, the son
Who hast share all the love I must give
Fill my future generations with His insight, as I slowly become the Father
Revealing the power of my soul to Him

Finally, the Celtic Rose holds the presence of the Holy Spirit
His love alone rests inside me, as with every other one of His people
To Him I pray for Thy's teachings
Feeling the spring breeze draw forth, God’s life-giving breath for the faithful and the peaceful

Find yourself a shamrock, the Celtic rose, for there is plenty to go around
To you I share the light of Trinity, which all of us has happily sought
God Bless you on this St. Patrick’s Day
Erin Go Braugh!

Noah this is outstanding writing!!
what a wonderful spritual poem.
A very refreshing perspective on a holiday theme...
I personally dont care for "holiday poems" for the most part..
but you've written this so well with such wonderful imagery and poetic phrases and moral that it is timeless in its message.
I loved the shamrock being the Celtic Rose and the meaning behind each clover leaf.
very well done poet!!

We wish ourselves beautiful,
we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.
