I am rubbing red.
It's capacity transformed to make words,
to make sense of why the air is thin
in parts of the world where people run.
It's soft and desired despite it's lack.
For it's fleshy red comfort -
in text for eyes unfinished.
Syllables bounce yes?
They seem to roll away
and find us chasing them.
How pathetic that we would fall
to our knees in distress over our loss
and hesitate to return to our feet.
To fight and win and run.
With such an advance
it seems hopeless,
like those paper ticket rewards.
But it's letters formed,
and it's message sent.
In red - in leaps of waiting.
It's the reason for all the trekking
about muscle shells and stone,
half slimed - half hugged by white - nesting.
I feel I've invaded something
so naked in a world.
So profound it hides.
I've been stained in a ring.
I've got it's flesh
and fire (alive) rapping
at my window, eating
at my mind. I've got
red between my thoughts,
true remains across my face.
Got clothing warmth - and tested,
in red again, again.

You are a wonderful writer, my friend.
What new and fresh expressions you hold -
and then share in such exciting ways.
Talent ... traipsing across the pages.
Thank you for sharing.

First, I love the pic! Just looking at it, I can picture you walking through the park...

and the poem--again you astound me with your quiet intensity--and I love a writer unafraid to bleed all over the page. shades of red, indeed. You ARE a very talented writer and I always love reading your work! There's more--but my interpretation is probably so personal that it's way off the mark of your intent---so I'll just leave it at that. Will be looking for more from you!
