Run Silent Run Deep

Retrospection swept in sweep
Down and deep into my sleep
Tiling out the ground about
Till it route the right thought out.

Washed upon far shores of ebb
Shook my head to clear the web.
Held me up to ridicule
And sanctioned me a damn fool.

Why did you wait, let her fly
This Goddess this butterfly
You let her fly, sigh away
Beyond a year and a day.

Now you wile away the time
Writing verse and nonsense rhyme.
Pining to the sky above
Yearning for a long lost love.

She is gone will not return
No matter your churn or yearn.

Oh, Seymour~
Your title grabbed me - from long ago memories.
Do you remember that wonderful movie ?
Still among my classic favorites.

Well ... I need to say
I enjoyed this read and the memories it stirred.
I'll take your 'nonsense rhyme' anytime !
Love ya'

Beautiful butterfly now gone...but never forgotten
any verse of her...will not ever be words misbegotten

Engrave her name ... in your golden rhyme
etch your love unending ... in sands of time

Tho fate took her from you ... in a moment cruel
holding on to the love ... does not deem you a fool

Recite her in your poetry ... enchant us with her memory
carve your love in destiny ... set your sweet butterfly free

love this one Sy-babes ...
a sigh from Sy that makes us cry

we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.

I have the book of that title Seymour...
I don't think it is so much we let them go...it is more like they are leaving no matter what we do and whether we like it or not...James

T'were they be the right one, they'd be a'stayin' no matter what. Yearn no more, but smile and say hello to a new lassie.
