Will You Love Me?

Will you love me
When I'm so vulnerable
To your touch
And loving words..

Will you breathe new life
Into a soul that has
Searched endlessly
For just ONE good man..

Will you be understanding
When my moods change
And my doubtful mind is
Surrounded in darkness..

Will you love me unconditionally
Allowing me my glaring shortcomings
That tend to rule my mind
With all the wrong words..

Will you accept my imperfect body
Knowing it is not the whole of me.
Will you tell me it's inner beauty
You seek and nothing more..

Will you make me smile
When the inner child in me
Needs a good laugh
And positive strokes..

Will you hold my hand
Telling me life is good
And you'll make it better
Just one day at a time..

A very heartfelt poem Kate, and I am sure if "he" is there, "he" will be all that and more for your kind, loving heart. Pssst....when you find him, ask if he has a brother! A lovely poem.

This is so tender and openly searching.....marvelous writing!.....I'm looking for someone that will .......

"Will you accept my imperfect body
Knowing it is not the whole of me.
Will you tell me it's inner beauty
You seek and nothing more.."

I'd have it made then! I wouldn't have to lose 25 lbs. I'm just acting silly here ...I really enjoyed the poem so very much!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

Thank you, Sharon. These are questions I think we all ask at one time or other.

Ethome..thank you for you kind compliments, I would like to think there is someone who still is able to accept us as we are.

Katie, some of these questions I can fulfill, and others I cannot, but enjoy your friendship none the less.

Sven, thank you so much for understanding this poem. I look forward to the day when that special someone will say, "yes" and I'll know he's talking to me. Kate

My sweet friend, thank you for making me smile today. You do accept me as is, how many friends can say that in all honesty? I know two who can. You and I. Katie
