Someone-take me out of here
someone-give me key's escape
I beg of you, as you leave,
leave the watch of gate, agape....
let me nudge the latch with nose,
the manner that I have, suppose,
ever I, to leave my yard--
who knew that it would be this hard?
Leaving languid love's repose
and every argument's oppose
to think I traded a trump card--
who knew, that it would be this hard?

Who knew indeed. Well written piece, I love the way the images flowed.

no one really knows. . . but. . . sometimes you have to do it. . .

you know that this one spoke to me my friend. . .

I'll echo those thoughts, Serenity! More than echo them! I'll shout them from the rooftops with you!
Very very nice write. I could so relate.
