Yellowstone The rotten egg-like sulfur stench Pales in the awe of this landscape, drenched With nature's awesome majesty Reflecting God's power, art and mercy Geysers, elk and mountains so tall Have a way, making one feel very small Where bubbling earth belches steam Yet crystal clear rivers flow cold and clean Muted colors vary a lot Boilng in the clay pool, Fountain Paint Pot Deposit-formed terraced limestone, Under falls, give off colors all their own Color buffets on canyon walls Interrupted by cascading falls To boiling Grand Prismatic Spring That showcases true rainbow coloring Steaming water explodes so high Depositing minerals around the eye Building colorful crusts to see As we contemplate their great mystery [This message has been edited by sandgrain (edited 03-15-2001).] |

Mom you did a fantastic job! It all came flooding back to me. Though it's been a long time, I won't forget the canyon, as well as the gysiers. Wonderful  <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. I don't question YOUR existance - GOD |

Cerenity, Sea and MoonDust, Thanks for reading and commenting. I pray you do someday get there to experience the many wonders as well as the beauty it holds. Don't tent camp, though. The bear love the campgrounds! Whtdove, It was our first family vacation, other than Wis. You were probably 5 or 6 years old, so I'm surprised you remember any of it.
