Passion Mountain

If this was a perfect world every woman would have a man and every boy would have a girl
and we wouldn't have to spend our whole life searching for a perfect match.
She would tap me on the shoulder and say "Say can I have a light?"
And I would know right away she would be my perfect wife.
And we would smoke each other til only embers remained
and life would be so simple no one feeling naked or ashamed.
One of these days I'll meet that woman to light my fire
to fill my lonely heart full of passion and desire.
And I'll gladly do the same for her in total absence of doubt and fear.
Falling in love will be for certain and we'll dwell in our love castle on the top of Passion Mountain.
Passion will provide the energy and love will be our power
and we'll begin to lay our sorrow down in beautiful meadows full of flowers.
Yes we will live on Passion Mountain where a billion shining stars can be found, a silky moon and good day sunshine shining brightly down.
For it is amid these luscious valleys and meadows, mountains and streams
we will find the way to fulfil our dreams in an endless lovers playground.
And among these green forests and flowered meadows and streams
if you listen to the rhythm of the falling rain softly coming down
you will surely find the love and peace of which Passion Mountain abounds.

James, there is such an innocent aim and purity to your words here, poetic prose with an almost dreamlike quality, a universal appeal. Would that we could each discover ourselves in a lovestory like this. Thank you, James.

Yes, the poem itself and the theme were nice.
If I were you, I'd have broken the lines up a bit more to help the flow. Just a suggestion.

Beautiful, beautiful imagery. I loved it. So glad I caught it!

After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all.

Sounds such a peaceful and lovely place to be. We should all have a Passions Mountain.
Thanks,

James you have climbed to the top of that passion mountain that exists in everyone's mind. The difference is you put the experience down in words and did a marvelous job of describing it I must say!
Like old Walter Brennan used to say...." one of these days I'm gonna climb that mountain!!"

"Yes we will live on Passion Mountain where a billion shining
stars can be found, a silky moon and good day sunshine
shining brightly down.
For it is amid these luscious valleys and meadows,
mountains and streams
we will find the way to fulfil our dreams in an endless lovers
playground.
And among these green forests and flowered meadows and
streams
if you listen to the rhythm of the falling rain softly coming
down
you will surely find the love and peace of which Passion
Mountain abounds."

Great stuff my friend! I want to go there......I've just got to get out that love climbing gear once more and take a special friend with me!!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
