My Moment Complete

as the night enters my world
and the stars begin their shine
my eyes close to my surroundings
and see only your image
a shadow, tall, lingering over me
to polish my night
with a smile, a look reflecting happiness.

as the winds begin to blow
and whistle through these hundred year walls
my ears tune out their howling
and hear only the whispers
coming from the softest of lips
touching my edges in answer
to my hearts thoughts.

as the coolness settles in
and the moons in radiant shine
my senses are overwhelmed, scented vanilla
a candle that flickers,
dances upon your skin
outlining my dreams
of priceless moments of you.

when I see you in a morning's blink
you are my moment complete
a gift of you, in natures wrapping
the last red rose of song,
in silent awe, my eyes watch
as petal by petal you fall unto me
leaving your trail to follow.

and as I reach out, the velvet softness
still holds true, as I gather my moments
piece by piece, living on hope,
treasuring my find,
floating them in my mind's bath
to feel you surround me in warmth
when the nights end becomes my day.

Your love, a treat for the senses. I loved it, thanks for sharing!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

I really like the feeling of this wonderful poetic verse!

as the winds begin to blow
and whistle through these hundred year walls
my ears tune out their howling
and hear only the whispers
coming from the softest of lips
touching my edges in answer
to my hearts thoughts.

Wonderful work Wynter!

A very nice job. The line "as petal by petal you fall unto me" was greatly creative and gave a very neat image.

Beautiful dream , living on hope gets hard though. You are strong, and maybe this will be real for you. I hope so.
