In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2001-03-13 10:32 PM

Outside my window a storm is approaching
leaves float on the wind
I sit by the window trying to translate
the wild flowers dancing
In my head some distant dream
sits in silence waiting to be found
The aroma of fresh coffee tickles my nose,
I think but no words come to mind
I listen to the rain fall sounds heavy, but peaceful
in the room a lite music is playing
It doesn’t help, no words come to mind, but I think
The storm is letting up, a rainbow appears against the black sky
I sit in awe of God's amazing creation
words come to mind.

I like your poem. It has a dreamy quality to it, even though there is a storm outside.
I always look for rainbows!

I really liked this one... the last line was a great way to end the poem.

Oh, how many times I've been awestruck by the rainbows after the rain. This is a lovely poem, and gives me a feeling of peace and contentment.......thank you, Greeneyes, I needed just that this morning!!

Me too! One of the most beautiful awesome sights a human can behold. I really like how you worked your way from the beginning to the conclusion....love the mood!

I'm constantly amazed by the dream-like quality of your writing. . . it shows in everything that you do. . . this is no exception. . .

it's beautiful. . .
