Who’s your favorite poet/singer?
Mine is Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues,
and this is a little tribute to the man that writes
and sings the songs!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sit here listening to the Moody Blues...
His voice is singing in the thoughts that
roll around my mind...
I listen to his songs about the roads
that we must choose...
And the possibilities of what I’ll
surely find...
The melodies reach out to kiss my ears...
Then touch my heartstrings,
plucking them with love, in perfect tune...
All thoughts on him, heart skips a beat,
I dream his presence near...
He sings me to the stars,
beyond the moon...
Enraptured dreams, but ne’er reality...
As Moody Blues and I drift
in a soft, ethereal space...
The music wraps me in a velvet cloak,
of fantasy...
As I close my eyes,
to gaze upon his face...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Aaaaaaaah...aren’t fantasies wonderful?!!

Great tribute, well done!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

A wonderful tribute, sunnyone! Isn't it great to feel that way about a singer? For me it was always Barry McGuire when he sang lead for Blood, Sweat and Tears. He could put such emotion into that truck-driving gravelly voice it mesmerized me every time...thanks for the memories..

Sorry, Sunny... you can NOT have Justin... I've had my claim staked for over 30 years! LOL But I'll be glad to share his music with you... *S*

When people ask for my favorite poets, his name always is on my list... add his voice singing those wonderful words and this gal finds bliss. *S* Wonderful tribute!
