A RIVERS SERENADE

The river's magic fingers
Caress my tired and weary soul...
Tides mesmerize my spirit
Stars kiss the ripples
That reach for the shores
In search of deliverance
From the currents
That bind them.
Nature's serenade of
Serenity...
Tranquility that
Exists without words...
Breathes without a heartbeat...
And survives without challenge...
Precious silence speaks
In tongues of the Heavens...
Sweet songs of the soul
That rescues my visions ~
Resolves insecurities ~
And illustrates disillusions
In portraits painted by the
Hands of Life....
Secrets revealed by chance...
With the lifespan of a firefly...
That brightens the darkness
With its mysterious light...
And flickers that fade from view
Almost as quickly as it came...

The winds are free to decorate
Remnants of dreams...
Forgotten and forsaken...
With songs of promise...
On wings of forever...
In the arms of destiny...
And kissed by eternity...

Dancing with angels
On the shores of the river
Delicately caressing
A tired and weary soul...
Absorbing yesterdays ~ stolen ~
Reviving dreams ~ forsaken ~
And planting seeds of hope
Along the shores of the river
Beneath the Heavens...
Kissed by the shores
Of deliverance...
Where new dreams are born...

(the river is a place of peace ~
a time to reflect upon the past
and the present...
and, if you look closely in the reflection that
dances upon it's face in the darkness
the moon and stars dance before you...
just within your reach...
they don't seem so far away now...
reach out and touch them,
and, for a moment, the moon and stars
Gracing the Heaven's with their beauty and mystery... ~*~ <3 ~*~ ...
Are in the palms of your hands...)

My goodness, my hand is actually dripping wet from dipping it into the lake of your mind's eye dear lady. What a picture you painted and I could almost hear the rustling of the leaves in the trees of hope. Once of your best images yet Martha, I absolutely adored this one, and if I knew what a darn library was I would put your poem in it! Hehehe - will figure out and when I do it will be there! Lovely work! psst...can I put a picture and music on this one?

Martha,

Wow, what a stunning piece!!! Lovely in every way. The words seem to flow like the river right over the page. Welcome to Passions, I can't wait to read more!!
