Little Chick... I'm sorry I didn't get it posted for the 11th... I was out of town with no computer access. But you do not keep your vigil alone and she is not forgotten... I love you, Mother Hen

An Angel Remembers

Hey, I know you!
I feel the love
Even though I rest
In heaven above.
And you might wear
A stranger’s face,
But love like yours
Time can’t erase.
My first few years
Were spent with you.
You loved me then
And you still do.
Though I grew up
From you apart,
I knew the love
Of your dear heart.
You put my needs
Before your own -
No greater love
Could you have shown.
You gave me hugs.
You gave me laughter.
You gave me hope
For happy ever after.
I wish that we
Could have been friends.
A little more time,
We would have been.
I’m sorry that
I had to leave.
I know that you
Will always grieve.
But I am with you
Every day -
In smiles you give,
In words you say
To give relief
To someone’s pain,
In bright spring flowers,
In summer rain,
The blue of a
Clear autumn sky.
For in your heart
I did not die.
And on the coldest
Winter’s night
I’ll be with you
And hold you tight.
I’ll be the comfort
You always find
When life’s trials
Batter your mind.
A rainbow arc
Heaven to earth
Will remind you
Of my birth.
Hey, I’d know you
From any other!
Your name is "love" -
You are my mother.

MotherHen: Bless you, you were in my heart yesterday (you always are) and I remember when you first sent me it and I couldn't believe the love you poured into it for my Rachel, even though I think you're a little bit biased but I love you all the more for it..

Guess you don't need telling I'm crying..

I love you

If she could I know Rachel would hug you, so big HUSG from both of us.

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

Princess: The lady I wrote this for does bless my life... and in return, I nag her incessantly! *G* Thank you very much! *S*

jellybeans: I was hoping Hugs Team was busy wrapping her in love yesterday... and reminding her that she is always loved. *S* Thank you, dear friend of my heart... very much!

SEA: I didn't mean to make you cry. *S* Thank you so much for your sweet reply... it's greatly appreciated!

RG: I'll unapologetically admit a great bias where you're concerned. *S* And you know I didn't want to give you tears... just forever knowledge that you are loved. *S* Thank you (and Rachel *S*) for the HUSG... love you!

Sunshine: Thank you, ma'am... *S*

someones kind heart-light is shining in verse today ...
lovely tribute to friendship and caring.
Thank you for sharing Rachel with us today ..
I have read of Rachel in here before ...
hugs to Rainbow Girl and to you Ruthie-girl

Sprayed across my heart and hers
Danced butterflies in the wild
This angel, this woman ,
who loves me with the innocence of a child.

This hit me where it hurts, but I loved it. I lost my grown son just two years ago and it is so hard. I have written many poems to him and about him, it is a solace to do so. Thank you for this one for another mother. Love Joyce

I've tried 3 times to reply and each time my beloved pc decided it was time to go...

Bless you all for your kindness; your love and your willingness to share...

Joyce:  Big HUGS sweetheart...as the saying goes..."you'll never walk alone"

I didn't post yesterday, I wanted to, but somehow the thoughts and ideas, memories and you all seemed to be with me anyhow....they stayed with me as i talked with her and even though the flowers lacked expense or arrangement, quiet time; loving time is not an emotion one can buy or repeat...

Thank you so much, all your kind words mean the world to me and especially to myself and Ruth.

It was Ruth that I first spoke to really of the rape and surrounding of Rachel's birth, it was Ruth who showed me a mother's love, you knowm that kind where a mum loves her children regardeless of sin...

If any of you wonder at the MotherHen and LittleChick...it's because Ruth loves me and shows me love like a mother shows a daughter and I hope in some small way, I give a daughter's love back.

We're both proud of you Ruth, it's not down to how we can make you proud of us, it's down to how much you care, your poem says it all, each and every time..

Thanks mum..

Edit:  Thanks Mik and Tracy...

Suthern ... this poem was exceptional, and touched my heart throughout. Not only was the flow wonderful, but the sentiments set the tears to flowing. Beautifully written.

Hugs to you for such a lovely tribute and hugs to you Cindy ...

Thanks jellybeans...I'm still here, I wish your shoulder blades would add a little weight though, it's a tough life being an angel on such skinny bones, how am I supposed to take off if there's no runway, just a skinpad...oops skiDpad...*g*

Elizabeth: Thank you for the kind words and the hugs! *S*

Seymour: Coming from someone who is MY kind of poet, your words mean so much. *S* Thank you, sweet gentleman. *S*

Janet Marie: Thank you, dear lady who epitomizes friendship and caring. *S* And hugs back atcha! *S*

jwesley: I'll probably never get to hug her except through words, but love her I do! *S* Thank you!

PDV: Thank you, kind lady... very much!

Martie: Thank you so much. Your kind comments and hugs are both greatly appreciated.

Joyce: I'm so very sorry for your loss... I can't imagine a greater agony. Thank YOU for reading and responding so graciously.

Marge: Well yanno, I have to keep things in proportion. LOL. Thank you, sweet friend... I like the image of a dancing angel. *S*

Balladeer: To touch your dear heart is a great compliment, my friend. Thank you so much.

WhtDove: Shhhhh... Uncle Sam will find a way to tax it! LOL Thank you, sweet lady.

Tracy-Lynne & mik: Forgive me for lumping the two of you together... but you both honor us with your first posts... and we do thank you so much! *S* Welcome to Passion's family!

RG: And now I'm crying... we do sog the place up, don't we? *S* I love you, lady... and am VERY proud of you... and you shouldn't have had to wait so many years to hear those words. If I ever DO get to England, I WILL deliver a well deserved fanny-kickin' to a certain cold fish. *G*

Kathleen: Thank you very much! *S*

Kit: Thank you so much... but I can't really take credit. *S* The words flowed so quickly an angel MUST have been guiding the pen. *S*

HugsTeam: We always know you're around, but it's so good to SEE you, elusive creature! *S* (Now quitcher griping about jb's shoulders being skinny... I already hate her enough for her figure. *G* And you're supposed to be comfortING not comfortABLE! LOL.)
