escaping barely
with scratches

i find myself
dwelling more on
the daily routine
of
"busyness of nothingness"

why don't i shiver
at how close it has been

or rejoice in the breaths
that i take?

am in still in shock
or
am i,

am i

getting weary of life?

i refuse to know.

Been there, done that, except it was a pick-up. I wrote a poem too, if I can find it this morning, I'll post it.

You raise good questions and a brief but powerful plea. I certainly hope you are just numb and not 'weary of life.'

you're still in shock. . .

I love the way that you spaced the "am I's" to make it seem like you were still out of breath after being narrowly missed. . .

excellent kaile. . .

I am betting you are numb and perhaps a little in awe at how quickly your life could have changed. Well done.
