CHARIOTS OF HEAVEN

Chariots of Heaven
Descend from the shadows
Of the moon...
Beyond the misting eyes of midnight ~
Searching for remnants
Of shooting stars once fallen…
Without the graces of wishes made ~
From hearts
That breathe life into dreams…
And molds beauty into the frailty of life’s empty promises…
Even when the music is gone…
And the dance floor is vacant…
Standing alone and abandoned in pools of teardrops ~ ~ ~
Beneath the cold and empty whispers
Of forgotten pain scattered in yesterdays.

Chariots of Heaven
Descending from the shadows of the moon
On a journey to embrace
Surviving dreamers…
Focusing through the eyes of time ~
Graced with vision that reaches
Beyond the darkness of midnight’s veil…
And salvages the heartbeat
Of compassion’s dreams

Chariots of Heaven….
Descend from the shadows of the moon
And shower your tender kisses
Upon my face ~
Tasting the teardrops
That beckoned you…
That were shed for you…
That believed in you
When time denied your existence.

Chariots of Heaven
Descending from the shadows of the moon…
…sweet serenades and lullabies….
from beyond the veil of Heaven’s floor
That penetrates the darkness
On the edges of midnight’s silhouettes
That kiss away the teardrops…
And replace them with promises
Of shooting stars that grace the Heavens
Upon the winds of wishes made
From hearts that still believe in dreams.

How comforting and moving these words are. I felt blessed in these lines. Kate

I agree with Cerenity, this works really well in my mind as a song Martha, so comforting are your words always, but these especially were so beckoning, and serene. Wonderful as usual. This poem was just...
