Waiting
Virginia Salter

moments
seconds
minutes go by
days, weeks, years
as I wait
the mirror shows
frequent, longing tears
why, then, do I stall?

might I wait
until darkness
shrouds the mirror’s reflection--
until I feel I need
a change of direction

as I allow times’ increments
to tick away my days
what am I missing
as I pass along the way
what road should my toes face
what path my heels leave
when should I call out,
“My God, I do believe!”

I'm sure you'll find the answer to be, now is the time. Worth adding to my file. Very good. Joyce

Thanks, Joyce, of course I had to confirm to you that I made my decision decades ago and reconfirmed it for HIM not just for me on Jan.1 1983. This was a poem inspired by the sermon today at the church I attend. It was titled, "Why Wait!"

Within his message, the pastor spoke of many 'reasons' people put off making their decisions. It was one of his best. Pretty great when one can feel the Lord at work in what's begin said and heard.
