Facilitating myself to you,
I was the expert.
At your mercy,
you always had me.
Molding me to your
selfish needs.
My mind had no real saying.
My body laughed with you,
proclaiming my self love,
and stepping all over it.
Shameful, I feel,I cannot
face my reality.
The scars,
you made don't really make me happy.
Single handed,
you amused yourself at my love.
Crazy,
I must have been to offer
myself to you,
wholeheartedly.

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Just before I read this, I had an idea for a piece...this....this has only cemented that thought...

At the risk of quoting the whole poem, I will say only this...

'I was the expert
At your mercy...
proclaiming self love,
and stepping all over it'

your ability to to put these things into words, amazes me.

And 'Facilitating'...proves any word can be poetic if it's author is so talented.
