Love's Desires

I have to touch your face

To prove to myself that you are real,

To know in my heart that you've chosen me

Over all the others and will cherish me

Till I breathe my last breath,

And speak my last loving words to you.

I have to feel your loving arms enfold me,

Arms I've dreamed about for so long,

And never wanted to live without.

I want you to feel my heart beating,

Know in your arms is where I want to be.

That I have found a home in your soul.

I have to taste your lips upon mine.

I need your sweet kisses touching my neck,

Making their way down to soft breasts

Where love's rapture becomes pure delight.

I need you to touch me as you would fine china,

Understanding how fragile we all can be.

I need to have your passion capture my heart,

With daily doses of raw uninhibited pleasure

And hours spent in contented bliss.

I want to make you sing my praises,

I want you to allow me to please you

In ways that invite love's desires.

I need you to understand who I am,

And what it is that I need and want from you.

I want to see you smile and hear you laugh.

And when you need to cry I want to hold you,

Allowing you to feel however you need to feel.

And when you need a shoulder to lean on,

I want to be there for you all the time.

Say you love me and that you'll stay.

Believe I am the love of your life.

Complete me, as I will you.

Be the sunshine I see each morning,

The moonlight that lights my path at night.

Hold my hand and walk with me always.

My goodness this was so well done, and a fantastic plea for a secured love. If you do find this man...will you please ask if he has a brother?

Thank you all for your great comments. When I wrote this one I felt like I was filling out an application for Mr Wonderful. I suspect I'm not alone in wanting someone like this to be part of my life. Blessings always, Kate
