My heart is
so quiet tonight
Tired, perhaps
As if the emotions flooding through it have
been too much
in too short a time
Weakened it somehow
As if to say
"Tomorrow is another day,
but tonight I'm done"
and I can't help but understand
and be thankful
for just a quiet night

Dear Just A Woman. Your name says it all. We all need that rest at the end of the day.
Good work.

Welcome to Passions! Somehow, I think you will go far beyond "just" being a woman, or a poet....somehow I think you might fall into a "wow" category....

and please, check your e-mail for a special greeting!

WElcome!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the serenity of this. The emotion of tiredness and the acquisition of peacefulness exudes from it. It makes me recall the small amount of a program I saw last night about stress, a wake-up call for women. This poem would be a lovely potion for the weary in acquiring sleep.

Well done!

Welcome to Passions and in reading your work you are so much more than 'just a woman' and it shows a lot in your writing. I look forward to more. And I love your quote!

Thank you so much everyone for such a kind and wonderful welcome. I've truly enjoyed reading everyone's work and look forward to so much more.

After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all.
