~*~ TRUE SELF ~*~

Ebony blanket covers~
The cellophone sky~
Hiding the brilliance of day.
Twilight comes.
Stars begin to fall in whispers.
The sea is almost still.
Such calmness surrounds me.
And sometimes~
In this darkness of night~
In this absolute silence~
Serenity, and calm~
That is everywhere~
I am able then most easily~
To hear the voice of
My “true self”.
I sit breathlessly~
With my ear~
Pressed firmly~
To the wall~
Between me~
And my heart.
In absolute silence~
I wait, wish, listen~
And soon~
My spirit rises.
And in the wake~
Of a whisper~
Mind's eye~
sees all answers~
To truth, hope~
And love~
The reason to exist.

This has got to be my favorite, theres lessons to be learnt here

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

This creates a beautiful mood. I enjoyed reading it and also the music and artwork. They are perfect for the poem.

Sharon~
This is truly, truly lovely.
You have begun to touch the spirit in yourself ...
Wonderfully portrayed.
Let it flow ..........

I may know the truth but not face it
I may hear a sound a whisper sacred and profound
but turn my head indifferent.

This is simply beautiful!! The poem, the picture, and the music seem to go so well together. Very nicely done!!

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats

Thank you all for your acceptance of this peace, I am in search of my "real" place on this plant, and write many about my quiet times, and I am so glad that you enjoyed this as there are a lot where this came from, it is called my soul!
