Listening to every heart

Sleepless

flowered paper
two dimensional
appears to move
three dimensional
as lace shadows
from night beams
of moon's light
stream in

fullest of moon
lights my dreams
so
feel the pull
that is
scattering sleep
along the prairie
and walk with
me
in the wind

come help me
gather my thoughts
as they run
as rampant
as children
on a spring day

then just lay
quiet with me
here on the plains
here in my spirit
and let me feel
you telling me
it will be
all right
in all ways
always

then

then let
the sound
of me

touch the moon

and also me with this gift of grace from your pen.
very cool poem ... that moon moon lastnight needs to be named the poets moon ..

Love any poem about the moon, but loved this esspecally.

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

A lack of sleep seems well worth it when it produces something as lovely as this!

As I tried to think of an adequate reply I came on Marge's - - I don't think I can top that - so I'll simply echo it - if it were in my power you'd be heard beyond the moon

The whispers of sleepless sunshine, reflecting off the moon ...
I'll listen for you, on a sleepless night

Beautiful!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Kari dear heart, This is utterly superb, absolutely first class writing

I love this dear heart, I haven't the time to sit here at your feet and sip at the quiet grace of you so, I'm taking this with me, for later.
Love and warm stuff
