Roses and pansies, so much color I see
Such beauty all around me, what a lovely place to be
I meander past the tree ferns
New fronds begin to unfurl
In my garden I descend into another world

As I bask in the sun and enjoy its warm rays
Summer is here with its lovely long days
In amongst my birch trees
I'm at one with my thoughts
What a great place to go when I'm feeling out of sorts

Jasmine and gardenias
How exquisite their blooms
With a perfume heaven sent
All above me it looms
So much beauty I see
How hard it is to believe
Was all of this really created by me?

A place to go to be at peace
So much enjoyment does this garden bring
To think of loved ones
A time to reflect
And hear the angels sing

As I stand there watering my garden with love
Many cupids I see bringing joy from above
Is that movement I see near the toadstool on the lawn?
Could this be another fairy that has just been born?
In my garden they roam
It's like heaven on earth
A place to escape
And feel at one with Mother Earth

Such solitude my garden gives me
Every time that I spend there
It takes me to another world
So tranquil - without a care

The wind chimes play a lovely tune
As they're caressed by the wind
What a lovely sound they make
As they dance and they sing

Time to leave my garden paradise
Chores to be done - not so nice
I leave with a smile
But soon I'll return
To my favourite of places
The place that I yearn

Dear Suetang:
This paints such a beautiful picture with words. What a lovely place your garden must be. It makes me yearn even more for spring!

what a lovely place to be

Suetang,

You have painted the perfect picture of a garden in full bloom here. Fabulous description.
