eThoughts fly round
Memories flutter
Pictures flash up
Sadness rises
Tears fall down
Shattered torment
Feelings come back
Warm skin
Sweaty chested
Leather saddles
Shows won
Dissapointments shared
Feelings of elation
Overcoming fears
Shattered devotions
Sickness and health
Soreness and limps
Bumps and bruises
Tossed up dreams
And the ripping
Grinding sensation
Horse falling
Girl calling
Tears falling
Backhoe digging
Goodbye coming
Hole dug
Body covered
Hurt uncovered
Grief just beginning
---------------------------------------------------
This is dedicated to a wonderful friend and riding companion- Goodbye Sugar

Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go.

Ah, I could feel a rodeo. Did you lose your friend from a rodeo accident?

I also noticed you are from WallaWalla. We're mighty close neighbors. Always exciting to learn of more poets in the area.

Sorry for your loss. A fine tribute.

Hey all-
Actually this horse was one of a kind. She taught me how to ride and was a shoulder whenever I needed it. A definite first love:-! She actually died when she was 18 no one could figure out what from. Probably the result of a hard life and carrying/caring for many people who who didn't care back. Boy this is making me sad.

so sad, nice tho

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

I compliment your writing and offer a hug. Painful emotion.

To hold tomorrow we must first be willing to let go of yesterday.

Good bye is a hard thing to say.
It's devastating to lose an animal we love so much.

Well written!

Yah I know goodbye is hard to say. Wish I was at least sort of expecting it, ya know? Thanks for replying to my message. Shell shocked pretty much describes me right now...

WEll, I certainly misunderstood this one. I thought the 'riding companion' was human. I'm glad it was not...but still deeply sorry for your loss of a wonderful friend.
