For All The Times
~*Marge Tindal*~

For all the times you wrote
those letters with a page and one line
For all the cards you sent
that are in this cedar chest of mine

For all the pictures you shared
for the trinkets in a sack
I'd gladly give them all up
just to have you back

Sifting through the memories
I pause time after time
when glancing at a piece of you
left within my mind

I'm glad that I kept them
nostalgic as I'm prone to be
They will be here for all time
of you they'll always remind me

My heart is heavy-laden
Walk in peace, sister dear
I will see you again someday
until then
I hold your memory near

*In loving birthday memory of my sister, Shari.
Here too short - gone too long~

Marge~ Incredibly beautiful, sad, and most of all, loving. You obviously cared greatly for your sister. I am so sorry for your loss.

Marge, this is deeply touching. I am incredibly sorry for the loss of your sister...we seem to always be willing to give everything up to have the person back, don't we? Even one more day...beautiful, heartfelt words my dear friend, I'm sure that somewhere your sister is looking down and smiling.

This was a lovely tribute to your sister, and I am so glad to see that you have "trinkets" with which to celebrate her life. This is so important, to remember how they lived, and what it meant to you. I see she meant a lot, and I wish to extend a wee hug to you while you hold your memories dear.

I have a small cedar chest filled with letters that were the beginning of this...what I do now, here on this computer...thank you for reminding me. I should read them all, again...why else did I keep them?

Marge,
I'm so glad you kept them too
And shared these precious and
loving thoughts with us.
My tears are from the poem,
for those loved ones I've lost,
and for you, and for my sister who has cancer and is so dear to me
Why won't these tears stop
See what you've done
You've touched me again
Liz
