~*~ A Dream In Azure Blue ~*~

Once more I begin the night's dance of sadness.
Here again, amidst purple, green and azure blue,
I search the shadowed swirls, so misty and hazy,
Coldness and accute sadness permeates my mind.
Crystal tears mix with memories and whirl.
Vaguely, I see a soft glimmer of light,
My heart sucks in a warm,radiant yellow glow.
Deep within the dark frightning shadows,
A flicker of hope surfaces, in mind’s eye.

Through closed eyes, I see you there in the light,
So inviting, with tender arms outstretched;
You call to me, and so tenderly smile,
Visions of your love so strongly etched.
I am unable somehow to ever reach you;
Once again you are out of my grasp.
Ebony feelings swirl uncontrollably,
As your hands I frantically try to clasp.

I cry out, in the swirling shadows,
As I dance toward you, slowly, you fade.
And as I blink, crystal tears drop and sear;
My heart has once more felt your blade.
In my mind’s eye, the warm yellow now,
Is sadly, but cold, dark enveloping shadows.
Your image decayed and gone so quickly,
Once again tricked by dream's deceit.

The azure blue swirls absorbed you
And my vision of you and love is now gone.
I try to remember your tender smile,
How you made my soul and heart dance.
I must move on and give up this hope
Even though as I dance in the swirls I see,
A small glimmer of what once was us,
And the way our loving you used to be.

This is wonderful (I think I use that word to describe all I've read of yours!).

This speaks to me - I read with my heart, not my head.

OMG! May I just say that I hung on EVERY word of this? The images are amazing, and the ending is wrapped up very well. I adore this, and I'll be looking forward to reading more of yours.

Mysteria~
The title pulled me in ...
The gentle imagery held me suspended in your thoughts.

Welcome, poet !

Mysteria - this is beautiful. Your artwork is stunning. Someday I need to learn how to post using some of the artwork that I have.
