How Does One Know

Heard first in your voice
A true commitment of choice

Then a strength, underlying
Pledging vows to rely on

Speaking words of quiet hope
Allowing peace in which to cope

How does one know
In the truth of you?

It comes forth uncommon,
In your “I love you…”

To read your words
No line goes unheard
Even when absurd
I see your smile

Whether wry or real
To me ~ it congeals
The fact of truth’s appeal
Only the past is surreal

Tell me, how does one know
All essentials apropos
When warning signals
Have melted like snow

And the winter
Now wends its way
To a bright and
Sunshiny day

How does one know
In the truth of you?

As you speak words of quiet hope
Allowing peace therein to cope

Then lend strength, underlying
And pledge a vow to rely on

And finally, heard in your voice
This truest commitment of choice

This is how one knows….

and also how one returns the gift...
lovely reflections of requite in rhyme Lady.

Some find subtlety in strangers
some find subtlety alone
Your eyes,you see everything
my eyes,I see its all together now
and I know.

How does one know
that true love exists
when all that is heard
are words that have twists
and turns
and s
........p
..........i
........r
......a
.....l
......s
to mix up one's mind.
How does one know
when true love they find?

Good question, Lady In White

Lady--what a thoughtful write...sometimes trust must wind around our heart, I think, and we must just believe.

And even if one "knows" it takes trust and faith to accept the knowing. *S* This is a lovely thought-provoking write.

LiW -
You step out on faith -
sometimes we're burned -
but -
It's just my opinion-
regardless -
it's worth the gamble-

I put this in my treasure box
the view is clearly one -
always worth taking

I love your work, Lady, you know I do, however, in this one I almost felt the rymning was flooding me you know? It left me almost confused in a couple of spots but then, of course that could be me! I've been in a fog for years!

Dance with me under the moon. Touch my pale skin. Devour me. Love me.
