The Hills about our Meadows
~~~
Those hills about your meadows
seem to glow
with brighter greens
When the sunlight
strikes the waters
of your crystal flowing streams
The serpents
surfing tidal waves
shall ne're return from lore
Since the shamrock
troth the Trinity
upon your blessed shore
Fair the sunshine
waves to celebrate
rejoyce
St. Patrick's hand
Know the hills
about our meadows
glow with gleams
of
Ireland
~~~

Thanks serenity ... I really am feeling much better these days ... I guess time patches most wounds
I'll look for your limerick ... I know it'll be special ... maybe green pizza, on the beach with Janet

Ahhh, the wearin' o' the green! Good piece. Ireland must be a wonderful sight to see, especially during the moments of peace.

I want to go to Ireland one day.. I hear it's one of the most beautiful places on this Earth... this poem does good justice to that!

VAS ... I've never been there ... my grandfather came from Ireland and my wife's great grandparents were from Ireland.
We have many friends and relatives, who've been to visit her sights and a nephew who lives there now.
We too would love to vacation there someday

Thankyou Paula ... It would sure be nice if we could

Thankyou Insect ... glad you liked it

EagleScorpion ... From the pictures I've seen and the people I've talked with ... if you go, you won't be disappointed, and if you can, be sure to visit England, Scotand,and Wales as well ... lots of history and lots of good people

Lady In White ... thankyou, you're very kind

Kathleen ... I take it you'll be wearing the green then

Poeminister ... thankyou ... Cheers

Dear Rex: I enjoyed reading your poem so much. Although I'm only half Irish, I have always felt a mystical tie to that green land. I grew up in Canada, in Alberta.
