Candlelight, soft music
a glass or two of wine
The richest bubbles in the bath
and slowly I recline

Within this peaceful haven
where my mind wanders slow
Each night I close my eyes
Wait to see where it will go

Touching gently on the past
Just a memory or two
Or perhaps hints of tomorrow
Diamond dreams within the view

Though lately it's pondered love
as if to somehow understand
how it slides right through my fingers
as though a million grains of sand

There seems not to be an answer
though we tap gently on the door
But yet within the scented moment
I only need to touch, explore

For within my heart is faith
that for now we're doing fine
With candlelight and bubbles
and a simple glass of wine

Here's a toast to your dreams coming true. After all, no one can take those away from us. Well done.

What a feel good poem. Exceptional imagery and something most women can relate to when relaxing in a tub of bubbles. Your poem made me smile just thinking how good it always feels.

dreamkeeper - this verse is so very meaningful and touching. Candle light, bubbles, and a glass of wine. How peaceful to me. Thanks for sharing these words.

Lovely! Peaceful.

I keep thinking I'm going to hear from you through e-mail. I want to know how the kids are doing? AND YOU!

Thanks so much everyone!

To hold tomorrow we must first be willing to let go of yesterday.

This is wonderful! *S* Of course, it made a day at work seem even longer... but what peace and serenity to anticipate. *S* Well done!
