For a Friend...And I may be wrong..its just a feeling I have...perhaps one of hope.

You've looked into her eyes a thousand times, I'm sure,
Saw her insensitivities, her love, her hate, her pain,
Glimpses of her forevers will always echo in your own eyes,
And those times you spent will not go away so easily,
As you would have them.
There is time for mending and pondering.
There is time for uninterrupted pain at loss and mistakes,
And there is the time when you remember you're among the human race,
Humbled by your own mistakes,
You slow down to catch a glimpse of your fellow troubled time heartbeats,
And realize that throwing it all away is just the easy way out,
But often the hardest road not to take.
For we are flesh and coarsing crimson blood,
All bound by tissue and one strongly desperate muscle.
Sometimes we feed upon ourselves.
Sometimes we devour the essence and pain of others.

I'm sure you've looked into her eyes a thousand times and more,
Reliving each emotion there in frequent misunderstanding,
And the all consuming wish to be in love rather than just to love.
There is a time for reconsideration,
And a time for thinking on why you really gave it all up.
There is a time to nurture every fiber of feeling,
And ponder them closely before you burn them all in hopes of one day forgetting.

So here I am having no experience in this just yet,
Wondering if you think I'm crazy,
For trying to put you back together,
In hopes that you will fight for your fight,
And perhaps reconsider where your life is going.

Powerful ponderings here. Sometimes though, you just can't get it back. But then again, life is funny and the unexpected sure does happen a lot. I hope it helps your friend.

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats

I definetly understand not being able to get it back, and I wish this could help ANYONE, but it probably won't.

Thanks for reading, Lone Wolf!

Well, I hope that it's been read by your friend. . . and I'm sure that they admire what you're trying to do. . . but sometimes, like LW said. . . you just can't get it back. . .

excellent. . .

But sometimes when we hear it from another we look, we see, we realize...so it never hurts to try to help...maybe thats all they needed was for someone to say...stop...look...is this what you truly want...this is great Temptress...what a wonderful friend you are

Thanks Paula. These were my thoughts. That perhaps an outsider is less biased and more focused on things. I'm wrong though...I suppose, but it never hurts to try.
