Gullible
Virginia Salter

Gertrude and Heathcliffe
atop lamp-post perch
rapt attention
on guitar pickin’ Tony

Turn in tandem
ever on guard
gray and white forms
compliment soft clouds

One by one
each lifts off
flits, soars
dips
dives

disappears
into the distance
gone
barren pole
stark reminder

VAS, did you wonder what had been on the pole before or after? It becomes a circle again doesn't it? I liked it though.

Another good one Vas. I had to read it three time then four and then once more.

Thanks again,
Tammy
