Light Within

I sit like Buddha, bald of pate
In transcendental mood create.
Eyes to heaven, head bowed down and
A thought my only covering gown.

I wait an answer in the void
My placid spirit holds centroid.
Unconscious of the gentle rain
Oblivious, all human pain.

My beggars bowl, are hands upturned
Asking alms that my spirits yearn.
Waiting for a flickering bright
To light the darkness of the night.

I pray for the light of the sun
To further light the light begun.
To light my pace of mind with grace
This open door I do embrace.

With innocence my only shield
I sit in meditations field.

Sy,
Wish I had read this this morning , before the daily assault , but I think it still lowered the stress level a couple of notches . Thanks for that !

Seymour, I KNEW you were innocent, why I kept telling everyone you are! Just kidding......
