The days seem to go
just a little bit slower
without you here.
The sun's golden light
isn't as bright
and Heaven isn't quite
so near.
And every day
the radio seems to play
the same sad song
as the day before.
Each and every night
I try with all of my might
not to miss you,
but I miss you more.
Everyone that I see
looks as if they could be
the one that I love,
but they're never you.
They may have the same look
and if that's all it took
I would take them home
and make them do.
But there's a light in your eyes
you could never disguise
and it's something
I can't duplicate.
You and I were meant to be
and only now do I see
that walking away was
a terrible mistake.
If I could only find you now
and make you see some how
how wrong I was
and how sorry I am.
Then I would hold you close,
never again to let you go.
And we could fall in love
all over again.

Sadly written, Tennessee Angel. Sometimes though, the sun shines through the rain and then we see that maybe it wasn't a mistake after all. Just a thought. Here's wishing you the happiness you deserve.

'I would take you home and make you do'...if only it were so simple. Good!

This is incredible emotional writing, TA! Great lines here! I love this!

do I believe we'd be better off apart?
can I see my world without you in it?
baby, not for a single minute...

TIME! Time is all you need. If this person loves you, then know that they are thinking of you just as much as you are thinking of them. Well said, well written. Just know that this is a learning experience. Just a few thoughts. Take care and thanks for the write.

TA~

very moving write...truly felt this one.
can relate to it on some levels. all i can
say is if love is meant to be it will be
and if you set someone free and they come
back to you--then they are yours. if they
don't well then just remember the good
times...and in time your pain will begin
to heal. take care.

Missing and wishing and wondering if they're feeling the same misery... It's tough... and you've written of it well!

Wow! What lovely responses. You all are truly an awesome group of people. It means so much to have people read and enjoy something that you've written. And just so no one thinks I'm at home depressed and suicidal.. ..this is completely fiction..just something bouncing around in my head..but it's awesome to have so many people get something out of it.

TennesseeAngel~
What a lovely write.
I'm sure you'll touch many hearts with this one.

Ohhhh ... such are the ways of the heart.
