Not knowing what the end would be,
I closed my eyes and searched inside my soul...
Within it’s depths, a voice was whispering,
loud enough to shake my self-control...
I closed my ears, and struggled all in vain,
to close the doorways to my mind...
That voice kept promising of all the love I need,
if I touched you…I’d find...

It stayed with me in fitful dreams
and whispered me awake, at dawn’s first light...
I still could feel the warm embrace
I shared with you in dreams, throughout the night...
And as I sat there sipping on a cup of
Mother Nature’s morning brew...
The cobwebs disappeared and suddenly,
I knew just what I had to do...

I dropped my will and pride, I held my breath,
and then I knew I could begin...
I asked the dreaded question, that I knew would
make or break us in the end...
I’ve seen the “do you love me?” ‘s tear the
strongest friends apart, because of fear...
As I waited for your answer,
I could feel my face receive my falling tears...

Then, suddenly, like lover’s hands
that reach across the miles for just one touch...
The answer came...”I love you, too, and someday
I will show you just how much”!
My heart took flight on wings as free and gentle
as the peaceful, cooing dove...
Then landed in your hands that touched me,
giving you my everlasting love...

And if by choice of fate, there comes a time
we needn’t reach across the skies...
And also, if by fate, we get the chance to gaze
into each other’s eyes...
I’ll know for all eternity that you and I have
passed this way before...
But now, I’ll reach my hand to you, and wait...
for you to touch me,
just once more...

Live...Love...Be grateful for both!!
