Listening to every heart

0 posted 2001-03-06 09:22 PM

In These Visits

in my visits
I stop and reflect
take in some life
gather retrospect
seems like life
is circumspect
in what I read
and in what
I inspect

thank you…

thank you for
taking all this time
to shape the words
in line of rhyme
for taking a moment
for giving a clue
for that is exactly
what poets do

thank you…

every visit
that I make
gives me grist
and thought
to take
gives me lift
a moment's
calm
serves me well
a loving balm

thank you…

for giving me
reason
with each little rhyme
for allowing a
comment
a few hundred
times

which have
added up, in
rapid succession
but from each
read I read
I learn such a lesson

thank you…

and in these visits
that I make with you
I pray, that someday
I shall be
a poet, too…

thank you

thank you for
letting me in
to sit and to write
for allowing within
a haven, a home
a place to spread wing

yes thank you for
these many gifts
of kind loving…

thank you

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Beautiful!!!!! And so very very true. What we recieve from each visit here is cherished.

Karilea--my sweet poet friend, you have the heart of a poet, you write beautiful poetry...you are a poet...a wonderful poet. Thank you for all the lovely poetry that spills out of you on a daily basis...all though I might not reply to all...I do try to read...and your replies are wonderful...gosh, thanks, just for being you!

You write very well from the two I've read...you remind me of someone else that used to post somewhere else....Embers

on occasion i've written some poems i take some pride in -
If I'd written this - I'd take out a full page adv.
in other words =you're far too modest and humble - - this is most beautiful, I'm sure all of us who call you friend are far more proud of having you for a friend - thanyou could possibly feel (as expressed here) but are simply unable to express it here as poetically as you have

Holy, toledo! Your 12,010th post. You do get around and I certainly echo your sentiment about the visits here. When I'm not being silly-sad 'cuz my stuff's being skipped over for awhile. When I let myself glean the blessings of the other poets' works/words. Good piece, Sunshine!
