If our bodies shall never meet
like the gentle lapping waves against the shore
I know deep in our hearts
we've touched each other even more

Our bodies are divided by so much distance
but our souls can travel long and far
with stubborn love's resisitance
we wish on the same star

It's not our bodies that are touching
though I wish that to be true
You've touched me inside my heart and soul
like I want to touch you

The warmth and understanding
reach far beyond the seas
so if our bodies never touch
just know, you've still touched me.

( I hope someone can relate to how two minds and souls collide.. and the aching to hold the other person..on the other side)

Oh...I...oh...couldn't think of a better way to say exactly what I feel. Bravo

Yes, I can relate to it. I can certainly relate to this. I know the feeling in these words, every line, every syllable. I loved like this once. Touched someone's heart and soul. One of the finest songwriters I ever had the pleasure to know.
Between the seasons and the full moons and the wisp on the breeze. Oh yes, I can relate to this. I've held someone's hand and walked down a cobblestone path with them in my mind and their heart and felt the burn and pain of their childhood and shared their fear. I know every rhyme in this and felt it as I read it and will read it again and again. This touched me as nothing I've ever read on this board has. I've been there when they needed comfort and strength and I know the feeling of not seeing, but believing. I know. And I realize as reading this, just how much I really love this person and I don't give a damn if the entire world knows. Thank you for touching my heart.

Redwriter, An excellent display of true love and caring. I hope you can fulfill an equal measure of “body” desire, soon.

I can see how this could happen so easily and how the distance would physically be frustrating but the mindset would be rewarding...pictures, background etc. I can relate to this write....very good!!

How beautiful! *S* There is a sadness and wistfulness to this... but also a gladness in what you have been able to share and acknowledgment of how special it is when two souls link... well done!

Tell me gentle readers.......

How do you keep at bay
the feelings of the flesh?

I always thought only men held those feelings
(not lust, but. yearning for the "body" of the one they want to be so close to)
and they were foreign and not ladylike

The thoughts of being so close
and closer and closer..

but it's just never close enough

I'm still trying to understand the difference between sex and making love..
Although I've done both
in various heights of emotion.

I'm not sure i've done them at the same time.

I guess that's why i know there's more to it.

Because I've made love, without having sex.

But i don't think it's as good the other way around.

anyone agree?
