Count down the days
14, 13, 12
I believed in love
11, 10, 9
Shadows crept under the white sheets
while I slept.
8, 7, 6
I dreamt in red and purple hues.
5, 4, 3
A sleepover held at your place, for me
2...
A celebration of innocence taken.
1
By you.

Add up the months.
1, 2, 3
I believe in lust.
4, 5, 6
Only the innocent can dream.
7, 8, 9
Denial is the root of
acceptance.
10, 11
It was your pleasure to meet me
12...
I don’t recognize my face anymore.
