“Oh That Lighthouse”
by

I was chasing you around the lighthouse, late last night,
hoping that I would catch you,
in the pale moonlight…
There was some doubt, but if I did, I would carry you,
as I knew of all the many things,
that we would do…

So I started running faster, and faster in the sand,
shouting out, “One if by sea,
or two if by land!”
Well, when I said those words, you stopped in your tracks,
fell into my arms and said,
“I’m yours”, as I felt you relax…

I picked you up, looked into your eyes and said, “Hi there”,
then you looked at me and said,
“BC, just take me anywhere!”
I won’t say where we went, but it was high up in the tower,
and I certainly got together,
with my little lotus flower!

So, if there is a moral of this poem, I don’t know it,
because if you chase her around, the lighthouse at night,
Eventually she’ll let you catch her,
in the pale moonlight…
hehehe!!!

You capture dreams and paint them beautifully. And you bring a gentle light of hope to each and every reader.

BC,

I love this one!! Lighthouses are my favorite. I think they are a very romantic setting also. Very nice!!

The moral is: are you ready for this?
Persistence in the pursuit of love will eventually take you to the top where love towers over all incoming storms of life.
And that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

Hi everyone - I have been so durn busy that I haven't had a chance to get back to the kind replies to this writing. I do apologize, and pray that this calms down, just a little.
